We are sure that the Matcha Lemonade at Starbucks got your attention. Why don’t try it at home? The matcha lemonade recipe is one of the easiest recipes for matcha. Besides, the lemon has a bunch of properties, just as our favorite green powder: this is the healthiest cold drink mix.
Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons Maratcha Ceremonial or Premium Grade matcha powder
- 1-2 teaspoons agave syrup or simple syrup
- 2 tablespoons warm water
- Lots of ice cubs
- 2 lemons
Matcha lemonade recipe
- In order to create the perfect balance, we’ll prepare the matcha and the lemonade separately, so get ready with all the ingredients.
- Matcha: sift the powder when pouring it into a bowl for a perfect texture, and add warm water. After that, whisk the matcha for 20 seconds in a W or M motion until foamy.
- Lemonade: Add the lemon juice to the water. Pour in a simple syrup or agave syrup. You can make simple syrup at home by adding 2 tablespoons of sugar and the same amount of water to a saucepan. Let it cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and allow cooling.
- Prepare some ice in a bottle or glass and pour the lemonade in.
- Next, slowly pour in the matcha. If you do it slow enough, it will create a cool layer between the lemonade and matcha that everyone likes in the pictures.
- Before drinking, remember to swirl it with a reusable straw and enjoy.
